Elle: “What is a replicant?

Joseph: “Replicant?”

Elle: “A machine?”

Joseph: “Not exactly…”

Elle: “Then what? Bannister said so…that I’m one of…them.”

Joseph: “Then you believed what that scum told you?

The Toonami Trending Rundown is a double-feature for the nights of November 13-14 and 20-21, 2021, which featured the world premiere of Blade Runner: Black Lotus, an anime series based on the 1982 hit film Blade Runner.

For the social media buzz of November 13-14, #Toonami trended in the United States on Twitter alongside Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Yashahime; while #Toonami trended on Tumblr. The following week on November 20-21 didn’t see many trends on the other hand, as the buzz on Twitter saw only Erina from Food Wars! trend in the United States, while #Toonami trended on Tumblr. The full list, including statistics and tweet counts from the Twitter app, can be seen below.

If you missed it, the trending rundown for October 23-24 and November 6-7, 2021 was published yesterday, which you can see by clicking here. Trends from the November 26th edition of Toonami will be bundled with the November 27-28 edition, which you will see within the next week.

Those who checked out the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade may have noticed that Goku joined in on the festivities for the third time in four years, in his Super Saiyan Blue form to promote the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. Other floats of note include Pokémon for its 25th anniversary, which featured Pikachu and Eevee riding a Pokeball themed sleigh, and Sonic the Hedgehog, whom was the first video game character to appear in the parade back in 1993.

This week, Toonami released the schedule for the December 4-5 edition of the block, and following the premiere of Episode 05 of Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Toonami will be showcasing an encore marathon of the first 5 episodes of the series before ending off with the encore season finale of Dr. Stone and Dragon Ball Super.

Fans have been understandably concerned about the lack of premiere shows and the lack of a schedule consistency as of late, especially as the likes of Black Clover, Fena: Pirate Princess, Food Wars, and My Hero Academia, have just completed their respective seasons or will complete them by next week. According to Jason DeMarco, the folks at Toonami and their partners have been having unforeseen issues out of their control in regards to getting the upcoming shows onto the block, and that things should settle down by the new year.

SPIRAL CURSE DEMARCO on Twitter: “Sorry #toonami fans for the lineup bouncing around so much over these holidays!1 Frankly, we’ve had some unforeseen issues getting the shows we had lined up (issues out of our control). Once we are in the new year, we’ll launch some new ongoing series & things will settle down! https://t.co/aO9xfsh3bv / Twitter”

Tune in tonight for the season 4 finale of Food Wars!, alongside a doubleheader of Yashahime episodes 20-21, and the premiere of Episode 05 of Blade Runner: Black Lotus, among other great moments. Get fully vaccinated if you are able to, wear a mask in public and practice social distancing by staying six feet/two meters away from one another, if possible, and wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds.

Legend: The shows listed are ordered based on their appearance on the schedule. Show trends are listed in bold. The number next to the listed trend represents the highest it trended on the list (not counting the promoted trend), judging only by the images placed in the rundown. For the Twitter tweet counts, the listed number of tweets are also sorely based on the highest number shown based on the images on the rundown.
