Toonami Squad Gaming Zone System Update 1/24

Last Updated on by Phantom

Welcome back to yet another Toonami Squad Gaming Zone System Update for the week of January 24th, 2022!

Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud, a collection of Kingdom Hearts titles for Switch, will be released on February 10th. The collection includes Kingdom Hearts 1.5, 2.5, 2.8, and 3, as well as the Re Mind DLC for KH3. Additionally, the Advent Red Keyblade will be a Switch exclusive for KH3. If I can be honest about the Kingdom Hearts games as cloud titles, they are unplayable. If you really want to play the series, play them on PC, PlayStation 4/5, or on Xbox.

Square also announced that on April 10th, they’ll be holding a Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary celebration in Tokyo! The celebration kicks off with a mini concert, a chat, a Q&A with the development team, an exhibition, and much more. There’s been some speculation that the next Kingdom Hearts game could be announced during the event but we’ll see it when it happens.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is slated to receive controller remapping options in an upcoming patch along with other new features!

WayFoward announced River City Girls Zero will be coming soon to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4/5! Fun fact: River City Girls Zero was a Japan exclusive up until now. If you want this game physically, be sure to preorder a copy on January 28th through Limited Run Games!

Nintendo officially announced that the physical version of Grand Theft Auto Definitive Edition will be released on February 11th! However, a download is required for the games, and it’s unclear what will have to be downloaded and if any of the games will be fully playable without the download.

After the release of Banjo and Kazooie on NSO this past week, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will be added the the NSO N64 lineup in February.

Finally, it’s official, Microsoft will be buying Activision/Blizzard for $70 billion, giving Microsoft ownership of game franchises such as Overwatch, Call of Duty, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Guitar Hero, and more. They’ve indicated that their existing contracts with other companies like Sony and Nintendo will be honored, but the future after those contracts expire are unclear.

(Do note that days and the time for our streams are subjected to change sometimes whether we like it or not.)
