Anime Expo 2018 Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Amine Expo 2018! (Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to make it to the Shonen Jump Industry Panel.)

The first panel we headed to was the Funimation Announcements Panel! Funimation’s Summer Simulcast is as follows; Attack on Titan (Season 3), My Hero Academia (Season 3), Black Clover, Overlord (Season 3), How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, Angels of Death, Island, Dies irae, One Piece, and Free! Dive to the Future. FunimationFilms also has upcoming theatrical releases for the recap movie Attack on Titan: Roar Of Awakening and My Hero Academia Two Heroes, hopefully to a theater near you! Aokana, Brave Witches, Gintama (Season 2, Part 2), New Game!, One Piece Collection 22, Saga of Tanya the Evil, Twin Star Exorcists (Part 2 Box Set), and Worldend: What Are You Doing at the End of the World? Are You Busy? Will You Save Us? are all planned for September releases. October releases include Dragon Ball Super (Part 5), Pop Team Epic, ReLife OVAs, and SSSS. Gridman.

We left Funimation early to catch a meeting with AnimePls, a new eCommerce brand by BioWorld Merchandising, Inc., that distributes officially licensed apparel. This year, BioWorld released 16 expo-exclusive shirts featuring designs from Dragon Ball Super, My Hero Academia, Tokyo Ghoul, Bananya, and Attack on Titan. After that meeting, we quickly tried to make it to The Official JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Panel. Unfortunately, we missed the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Studio TRIGGER Industry Panel. However, we were able to hear news of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable premiering on Toonami, August 18th, 2018.
