Batman: The Long Halloween to follow the Fena: Pirate Princess finale on October 23; Fena marathon on Halloween Weekend

Toonami has some big plans during the run-up to Halloween, including the airing of Batman: The Long Halloween following the Fena: Pirate Princess finale on October 23, followed by a Fena marathon on Halloween Eve.

This upcoming Saturday, October 16, Toonami will be airing the 11th and penultimate episode of Fena: Pirate Princess, followed by a special presentation of the Batman animated films Batman Ninja and Batman: Under the Red Hood as part of the third “DC FanDome” virtual event. However, that’s not all the Batman and DC Comics that Toonami has in store for us, as the block today revealed its schedule through Halloween.

Next Saturday night, October 23, in addition to airing the finale of Fena: Pirate Princess, Toonami will showcase the 2021 direct-to-video superhero animated film Batman: The Long Halloween. The film is split into two parts of 85 and 87 minutes respectively, and Toonami will air them both consecutively. Part 1 will air from 12:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., while Part 2 will air from 2:30 a.m. to the block’s end.

Based on the graphic novel Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, the film is directed by Chris Palmer and stars the voices of Jensen Ackles as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, Naya Rivera as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and Troy Baker as the Joker.

The film is dedicated to Rivera, as it would be the last role she completed before her untimely death in a drowning accident in July 2020.

The following Saturday after that, kicking off Halloween weekend on October 30, Toonami will showcase an encore marathon of Fena: Pirate Princess. All 12 episodes will air back-to-back from 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Eastern/Pacific time.

The two consecutive Batman movie nights plus the Fena marathon will preempt the rest of the schedule until at least November 6. A week ago, at New York Comic Con, Toonami announced that Blade Runner: Black Lotus will make its premiere on November 13. However, what else is in store for Toonami for the remainder of 2021, including their airing plans for the final two episodes of My Hero Academia’s fifth season, in addition to other new acquisitions and specials, are still under wraps at this time.
