It was announced this weekend that gen:LOCK would be premiering on Toonami, the announcement initially started out as tease on Saturday morning July, 6th from the Rooster Teeth Twitter with Rooster Teeth sending out a tweet to the Adult Swim Twitter account asking Adult Swim if they like giant robots.

That tweet sent fans into a frenzy with many hoping that meant Toonami and Rooster Teeth would be partnering up. Well fans wishes were confirmed when Rooster Teeth followed that tease with an official announcement on Sunday morning July 7th, announcing that gen:LOCK would be premiering on Toonami on August 3rd, an announcement was also made on the official Toonami Facebook.

The new show is a mecha-anime style series set fifty years in the future, where an oppressive authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world. A daring team is recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha, but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world. Starring Michael B.
