Toonami Squad Gaming Zone System Update 2/21

Last Updated on by Phantom

Welcome back to yet another Toonami Squad Gaming Zone System Update for the week of February 21st, 2022!

Nintendo announced that they’ll be shutting down the E-Shop for the Nintendo 3DS and WiiU in March 2023, which spells the end for Virtual Console games and digital titles.

Additionally, as that date draws closer, the following dates will impact the E-Shop for the 3DS and WiiU: on May 23rd, 2022, you will no longer be able to use a credit card to add funds to an account on the WiiU and the 3DS. Then, on August 29th, 2022, you will be unable to add funds by using an E-Shop gift card on an account on the WiiU and the 3DS. After the March 2023 shutdown, you’ll still be able to redownload games and DLC, receive updates, and enjoy online play for the foreseeable future. So be sure to buy games digitally while you can otherwise we will lose them all. As for Pokémon Bank, The Pokémon Company announced it’ll become free to use once the E Shop shuts down in 2023.

The Crunchyroll app is now available on the Nintendo Switch!

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask comes to Nintendo Switch Online Plus Expansion Pack on February 25th.
