The Toonami Trending Rundown for May 15-16, 2021. Dr. Stone would make its return to the better cartoon show for it’s long awaited second season, as Senku and the Kingdom of Science prepares for war Tsukasa and the Empire of Might.

On Twitter, #Toonami would trend in the United States alongside My Hero Academia, Food Wars, The Promised Neverland, and Black Clover. My Hero Academia also saw a character trend with Endeavor, as he admits that he has to atone for his sins of neglecting his wife and family. On Tumblr, #Toonami would also make the trending list. Fena: Pirate Princess, one of Toonami and Crunchyroll’s upcoming originals by Production IG, will be showcased at the Annecy Festival in France next month. Occurring during the week of June 14-19, Fena will be apart of the festival’s “Work in Progress program”, which gives an in-depth look into the creative stages of several future animated productions. According to the Annecy Festival website, the panel for the show is scheduled for June 16 at 5.30pm – 6.45pm CET.

Aniplex is working on releasing a limited-edition boxset for Sword Art Online: Alicization: War of Underworld this time next month. This Blu-ray boxset will contain all 23 episodes of the second half of Alicization, plus two recap episodes, a Special Booklet plus and Original Soundtrack CD by composer Yuki Kajiura. For those interested, it’s available for pre-order on Rightstuf for $229.98.

Finally, Toonami will be making a schedule change come May 29. Current reruns of Dragon Ball Super will be moving down the lineup from midnight to end the block at 3:30 a.m. Eastern. The rest of the lineup will move up the schedule by 30 minutes, meaning that My Hero Academia will once again become the lead-in for the first time since Season 4 aired. The full schedule is as follows:

  • 12:30 A.M. – Dr. Stone
  • 01:00 A.M. – Food Wars
  • 01:30 A.M. – The Promised Neverland
  • 02:00 A.M. – Black Clover

  • 03:30 A.M. – Dragon Ball Super
