“It took me a full 3 years to get this strong. 100 pushups, 100 situps, and 100 squats. And a 10 kilometer run. Do it every single day. And of course, make sure you eat 3 meals daily, just a banana in the morning is fine. But never ever use the air conditioner in the summer or heat in the winter so you can strengthen the mind. In the beginning, you wish you were dead. You might start thinking, what’s the harm of taking the day off? But for me, in order to become a strong hero, even if I was spitting blood, I never stopped. I toughed it out and endured the pain. I did squats even my legs felt like they couldn’t move. Even when my arms started to make weird clicking noises, I kept doing pushups. A year and a half later, I started to notice the difference. I was bald and I had become stronger. In other words, you gotta train like hell until the point where your hair falls out. That’s the only way to become fully strong. Guys fooling around with this new human race and evolution junk, they’re never gonna make it this far. Human beings are strong because we can change ourselves.”
– Saitama, One Punch Man (Ep. 03)
The Toonami Trending Rundown for July 30-31, 2016. It’s another solid night for the better cartoon show, as every show in addition to Toonami successfully trended during their respective East Coast airings, as well as One Punch Man during its West Coast airing. In addition, Toonami, One Punch Man, and One Piece would also trend on Tumblr. Finally, for a record third week in a row, One Punch Man made it on Nielsen Social’s top 5 most tweeted about shows, making the #5 spot.
For those interested, I made a report of me attending the Toonami Pre-Flight panel during Comic-Con last week including some of the sights, experiences, and reactions regarding the announcements. You can check it out here.
Other than that, not much else to say other than see you next week for another round of the better cartoon show. Later.
Legend: The shows listed are ordered based on their appearance on the schedule. Show trends are listed in bold. The number next to the listed trend represents the highest it trended on the list (not counting the promoted trend), judging only by the images placed in the rundown. For the Twitter tweet counts, the listed number of tweets are also sorely based on the highest number shown based on the images on the rundown.
